We all come into relationships naturally with our own mindset, way of doing things, as well as standards that we hold in high regard. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that, those are all pieces that make up who we are, our character.
One thing that you should always be is flexible, which does not mean that you submit or compromise who you are, but it never hurts to hear your partners POV, even if it leads to a healthy debate.. (aka disagreement.) If you feel that your partner has your best interest at heart, hear them out.. sleep on it.. look at it from all angles.
The information may not only be helpful, but steer you in a direction that helps to better your career, your well being, or your relationship.
